Prince Harry and a horse. dskvnklenmv!

HOLY FUCK. That horse looks completely defeated and broken down. Is that at least three reins and two bits?! WHY THE FUCK DO YOU NEED THAT?! ALL YOU NEED IS A FUCKING HALTER. JESUS CHRIST. WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU DROOLING OVER THIS FUCKING ANIMAL ABUSER!?!!!!

Who ever needs a tie down, two bits, and three reigns to control a horse doesn’t belong near a horse in the first place. -_-

I’m reblogging this because it needs to be said that this is a polo pony so he has a standing martingale on to keep him from smashing his head into the prince’s face. The horse has a Pelham in his mouth which is a single bit with two rein attachments. The bit has two reins, not three. And on top of all of that, the horse has his eyes closed. He’s not defeated, he’s not defeated, he’s just not the most photogenic! A defeated horse wouldn’t be snuggling the prince, he would be hanging his head. Please learn more about tack, and equine body language.

remember when i had that rant about people who need to stop making arguments against things they have no understanding of
Welcome, Exhibit A

I’m sorry can we just focus on the wonderful-ness that is Prince Harry with a horse. Thank You!

^  Oh those comments did make me laugh!!

^^Ditto

The horse actually looks really relaxed to me

^^^ THIS… I would rant about the first few comments but dressageatschool did a good job at explaining.

I agree with nearsidebackhand - everything dressageatschool said is right on.  Each item has a purpose and that horse sure looks relaxed to me.  While it may look like a lot of tack, it’s really not - it’s two sets of reins (often one is a pair of draw reins), a standing martingale, and a breast collar.

That’s a polo bridle. That’s what a polo bridle looks like. It looks like that in part because you are riding in a full gallop one handed and you slip the different reins between your hands to give very intricate info to your horse. Everyone calm down.

I love him.
