The problem with Paul Ryan

missworded:

rabbleprochoice:

and his response to this question is that he used HIS experience as a first-time dad with a wanted child. It’s not the same when you don’t want it. It’s not the same when you already have the number of kids you want. It’s not the same as a MAN.

Joe Biden is answering this right. Joe Biden can have his beliefs and I respect him for that but he understands that it’s not his decision for other people and that it IS a life-saving procedure. It is a NECESSARY procedure.

And Paul Ryan totally just lied about whether people who want abortion to be safe a legal should be worried. We should be VERY worried (also notice that he didn’t answer it, he just talked about un-elected judges and how they shouldn’t make decisions about abortion). Romney wants to overturn Roe v. Wade and he WILL do it because he will be able to completely alter the Supreme Court for a very long fucking time.

We should be VERY worried.

It’s truly a deep, deep shame that not every politician has the same views as Joe Biden when it comes to legislating things outside of his religious views because Joe Biden actually understand what it means to have a separation of church and state and be able to vote int he best interests of EVERYONE.

If you can’t legislate in a way that doesn’t dictate your beliefs over others, then you should not be a legislator and you most surely do not deserve to be the vice-president of the United States, Paul Ryan.

Love,

Rabble

Also remember — Ryan, if he had his way, would outlaw IVF (in-vitro fertilization).  How nice for him that he has his beloved kids the “correct” way, but he’d prevent hundreds of thousands of people from becoming parents because of their medical situation.  Maybe you think you’ll never come to that crossroads but guess what — no one does until they’re there.

The fact that he didn’t answer unequivocally one way or the other IS an answer. He’s saying that the Romney/Ryan ticket would work to legislatively overturn the judicial impact of Roe v. Wade. He couldn’t really say it much clearer.
